Hello, I’m Kevin Renfrow - glad you made it to this site.
Growing up, my life was characterized by my intense involvement in the Boy Scouts of America. I started my scouting story as a tiger cub in 1995 and have been active in the scouting program ever since. I attained the rank of Eagle Scout on January 9, 2007 while a member of Troop 62 in Newport, OR. My project was the construction of a hiking/jogging trail around Olalla Reservoir in Toledo, OR in cooperation with Georgia-Pacific Toledo.
I was elected into the Order of the Arrow, Boy Scouting’s National Honor Society, in the spring of 2002 and since then have held various leadership positions including Yaquina Chapter Chief (2004-2006) and Tsisqan Lodge Chief (2006-2007). On July 22, 2007 I was inducted into the Vigil Honor, the highest honor of the Order of the Arrow. My Vigil Name given is ‘Tyee Kopa Hyas Kumtux’ which translates to ‘Leader with Great Wisdom.’ Additionally, at the 2007 Tsisqan Lodge Annual Fellowship event, I was bestowed with the Founder’s Award “for unselfish service above and beyond [my] normal duties to [my] lodge.”
I grew up in the Toledo/Newport, OR area, but I now call Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, CA my home. I am studying engineering and love the rigorous challenges Mudd is presenting me.
I love to enjoy the great outdoors, which is evident through my colorful scouting history. I also love programming (php, python), working on websites, and tinkering with computers and electronics.
My current responsibilities include:
- Web Coordinator, Western Region Order of the Arrow
- Immediate Past Chief, Tsisqan Lodge
- Section Webmaster, Order of the Arrow Section W-1A
- Squad Leader, Shasta-Trinity ArrowCorps5 Site
- Student, Harvey Mudd College
